Where will I work?

In order to gain a place on the Apprenticeship programme, you must be sponsored by a Isuzu approved site close to your home. Here, you will be a full time employee of the Isuzu approved site from day one and become part of the service team while you train.

Will I be a paid employee at the dealership?

Yes. All apprentices who are successful in gaining a position at a Isuzu dealership will be contracted and paid as a full time employee with that dealer.

Where do I complete my training?

You will carry out your 'off the job' training at the Isuzu Technical Training centre in the West Midlands. The centre is equipped with the latest Isuzu vehicles, and you will have use of the most up to date equipment and tools.

What qualifications do I achieve?

During your three-year programme you will work towards an NVQ level 3 in vehicle maintenance and repair as well as a technical certificate endorsed by Isuzu and the awarding body.

Does my training stop once I reach NVQ level 3?

No, it doesn't. As a Isuzu dealership technician, you will be encouraged to increase your knowledge with further technical training courses at the Isuzu Training School. You could even progress to a supervisory or management role, depending on your ability and ambition.

How much will the training cost me?

The training is completely free of charge to you, the apprentice. The fees are paid for by your employing dealer. The only cost to you is your dedication and commitment to succeed.

Are there other benefits?

  • Full time employment at an authorised dealer;
  • Block release tuition;
  • An internationally recognised qualification;
  • Fully paid for training course, including all qualification fees and accommodation;
  • Team building and special events.

Where will I stay?

During your block release, you will stay at one of our hand-picked hotels near to the Training Centre. Transport to and from the Training Centre will also be provided if required. The cost of the accommodation will be met by your sponsoring dealer.

How do I enrol?

To enrol, you must meet the following criteria;

  • Be aged 16 or over;
  • Ideally with a grade C or above in GCSE Maths, English and an IT subject or the Scottish Certificate of Education at grade C or above.
