The multi award-winning Isuzu D-Max has picked up yet another award – for the second consecutive year it has won ‘Pick Up of the Year’ at the Commercial Fleet Awards.
The Commercial Fleet Awards celebrate the contributions of outstanding individuals, companies and manufacturers within the commercial fleet Industry. Over 600 automotive guests attended the event which is seen as an integral part of the commercial fleet industry calendar and offers a vital opportunity for the industry to come together, network and celebrate its successes.
Manufacturer categories compare vehicles across a number of core fleet criteria, including payload, safety, technology, running costs, fuel efficiency, reliability and aftersales service so it is a great accolade that the Isuzu D-Max emerged victorious, beating strong competition from rivals in a highly contested sector.
The seven judges, all experienced fleet managers from well-known brands such as National Grid and South West Water, commented: “The Isuzu D-Max offers a class leading warranty, non-Ad Blue option, best off-road capability, best capacity in class, best for towing – the D-Max is simply the best pick-up on the market. The fleet service charter is also an important factor for fleets.”
Christopher Macgowan, OBE, former Chief Executive of the SMMT and Chairman of the judging panel presented this coveted fleet award to William Brown, Isuzu UK Managing Director, who commented: “We are absolutely delighted that the Isuzu D-Max has won this award for a second time. The fleet industry is extremely demanding on its vehicles so it is fantastic to know that the truck delivers exactly what is required.”
Isuzu UK Managing Director, William Brown commented: “We’re really proud to win this prestigious fleet award “Pick-up of the Year” for the second year in a row. This clearly demonstrates the Isuzu D-Max’s position as the most capable and durable working vehicle in the sector”
