I had a different pick-up in 2006 loved it, but time moves on and the D-Max was more modern, refined and economical. I test drove the D-Max in manual and automatic, both from Stan Palmers of Carlisle and went for the manual.
I spoke to the sales team at last year's Harrogate Show and was impressed with their knowledge of the range. I then went to the CV show at Birmingham and liked the way the staff on the Isuzu stand dealt with ordinary customers as well as fleet buyers.
I use mine as a leisure vehicle to tow my 1700kg caravan. It's an effortless tow vehicle, steady up to legal limits. I go off-road once or twice a month in Cumbria and I also use it for commuting on the odd occasion!
