Today, equipped with a punchy turbo diesel engine, the D-Max pick-up truck is leading the charge, delivering 164PS and 360Nm of torque. Each new model comes with a 125,000 mile / 5 Year Warranty and 5 years UK and European roadside assistance. With towing capabilities of 3.5 tonnes, a maximum payload of 1,161kg and a 4×4 drive.
1916
ISUZU FOUNDED IN TOKYO, JAPAN
The Japanese automotive manufacturer, named after the Isuzu River in the city of Ise, initiated automotive production, diversifying from its roots as Tokyo Ishikawajima Shipbuilding and Engineering Co., Ltd.


1987
ISUZU ENTERS THE UK MARKET
The inaugural Trooper model established Isuzu as a reliable marque in the UK, providing capable and versatile off-road vehicles.
After conquering the hearts of off-road enthusiasts, Isuzu UK introduced the cult classic “Handling by Lotus” Piazza, showcasing the Japanese manufacturer’s aptitude in producing exciting performance road cars as well as off-roading powerhouses.

ISUZU INTRODUCES TF PICK-UP
Comprised of the same DNA which propelled the Trooper to off-roading folklore, TF formed the foundations that led to Isuzu UK becoming known as The Pick-Up Professionals.


2003
FINAL ISUZU TROOPER SOLD IN UK
With a total of over 40,000 examples sold since its inception, the Isuzu Trooper bowed out of the UK market.
2004
ISUZU RODEO INTRODUCED TO UK
Carrying forward the legendary Trooper’s reputation for capability and utility, Isuzu Rodeo transformed the UK pick-up market, becoming the first diesel pick-up in Britain available with automatic transmission.


2012
ISUZU D-MAX IS LAUNCHED
The D-Max is acknowledged as a hardworking, tough and reliable pickup truck, becoming a favourite with farmers and trades as well as solidifying Isuzu UK’s moniker as The Pick-Up Professionals.
2016
ISUZU INTRODUCES AT35 WITH ARCTIC TRUCKS
Inspired by the harshest and most extreme conditions on Earth, the Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 was born, complete with 35” BFGoodrich KO2 All-Terrain Tyres, Arctic Trucks Bilstein Performance Suspension System, widened wheel arches, and higher elevation.

ISUZU INTRODUCES NEW, GREENER ENGINE
Offering cleaner and more efficient power delivery and 360Nm torque, RZ4E also meets Euro 6 emission standards.
2021
D-MAX ENTERS ITS THIRD GENERATION
Raising the bar in terms of comfort, refinement and safety while maintaining its 3.5 tonnes towing capacity and over 1 tonne payload, the third-generation D-Max lays the fundamental groundwork for the current model.


2023
THE ALL-NEW D-MAX ARRIVES
Building on the immediate success of the third-generation D-Max, 2023 saw a facelifted version enter the UK, with refined cosmetic updates to the grille, wheel design, and interior features.

ISUZU CELEBRATES BACK-TO-BACK RECORD SALES YEARS ON D-MAX
An extraordinary 6,574 examples sold in 2024, propelling the Japanese offering to the second most popular new pick-up across the year. The momentum of the D-Max continues to grow after the success of special editions such as the premium STEEL Edition and the revered Mudmaster, a bespoke celebration of the off-roading potential of the D-Max.

THE NEW D-MAX LAUNCHES
With a suite of new features including Rough Terrain Mode, infotainment across the range, and bold, reimagined styling. Following this, The New Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 is revealed, alongside the new take on the STEEL Edition, new Huntsman Accessory Pack and the World’s First Reveal of the D-Max EV – the first fully capable, fully electric commercial pick-up in the UK.
