ISUZU AND TGS COLLABORATE ON TIPPER CONVERSION CONCEPT

Isuzu and TGS (UK) Limited have collaborated to produce an all-new Isuzu D-Max Utility Tipper Conversion vehicle, which will be exclusively unveiled during the Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC in Birmingham on 31st August 2021.

The Tipper Conversion utilises a rugged yet lightweight aluminium tipper body which has been designed to suit the vehicle and enhance its versatility for use in many industries. The double-action scissor lifting mechanism allows for maximum stability and strength during operation and is controlled by an electro-hydraulic power pack with a wander lead, meaning you don’t have to be stood right next to the truck when operating it.

The concept vehicle is also fitted with an upgraded VB Tech air suspension system, which enhances both comfort and safety whilst also increasing the Gross Vehicle Weight of the vehicle to 3500KG and retains the payload well over one tonne.

The donor vehicle, an Isuzu D-Max Utility Extended Cab, is suited to work environments with features like an easily cleanable vinyl flooring and durable steel wheels, while the bumpers, door mirrors and door handles are made from hard-wearing black plastic. The Isuzu D-Max Utility is also one of the safest vehicles in its class with Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) along with Trailer Sway Control, E-Call and Hill Start Assist & Hill Descent Control all fitted as standard.

Alan Able, Head of Sales at Isuzu UK commented: “This tipper concept vehicle is the natural progression of our partnership with TGS, following the Tipper product which was developed on the previous model Isuzu D-Max Extended Cab and which proved to be a real hit with our dealer network and customers so it makes sense to get to work on delivering a new and improved product to match the specifications of the new D-Max.

We are always looking at how we can diversify and expand our product portfolio and yet again, the D-Max has more than demonstrated its working credentials and versatility in meeting the potential needs of our broad customer base”.

TGS (UK) Limited is a well-established Bristol-based commercial vehicle converter that specialises in maximising the potential of any commercial vehicle with bespoke products, including a range of bodywork conversions and accessories for a wide range of industries and applications.
