All-new Isuzu D-max Wins ‘best Pick-up’ at Business Vans Awards

18th May 2021 – The All-New Isuzu D-Max has won the coveted ‘Best Pick-Up’ accolade at the Business Vans Awards, in recognition of its smart new drive features, stronger 4×4 capabilities and superior levels of safety.  The award marks a triumphant launch for the All-New Isuzu D-Max, having already been crowned ‘2021 Pick-Up of the Year’ by 4×4 Magazine.

Building on Isuzu’s famed durability and practicality, the All-New Isuzu D-Max drives the pick-up segment into the next-generation with an assertive new exterior and interior design, even greater off-road capabilities and the most extensive ADAS package in the pick-up segment, which was crucial in achieving a maximum 5-star rating in the latest Euro NCAP safety test.

Concluding their comprehensive appraisal, the esteemed panel of judges – which comprised of industry experts and motoring journalists – were satisfied that there was only one deserved winner of the award.

Chris Wright, Managing Editor at Business Vans, remarked: “Isuzu has long been synonymous with reliability, high build quality and strong residual values, and the new D-Max advances the pick-up segment as a whole with excellent driver comfort, impressive technology and unrivalled levels of safety.  It’s a clear winner that ticks all the right boxes for owner-drivers and large fleets alike”.

The panel was also impressed by the wide model line-up. As the Pick-Up Professionals, Isuzu offers a full range of trucks consisting of three cab types (single, extended and double cab), two layouts (4×2 and 4×4), two transmissions (manual and automatic) and four trim levels (Utility, DL20, DL40 and V-Cross).

Well suited to working environments, the Business range of Utility models are fitted with hard-wearing black plastic bumpers and steel wheels and feature an accommodating 6-way adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support and height and reach adjustable steering wheel, while air conditioning, cruise control, DAB radio and Bluetooth ensure the cabin is comfortable and convenient place to work.

The versatile All-Purpose range is made up of the DL20 and DL40 models. ‘DL’ references the rear differential lock which becomes a standard feature from DL20, alongside body-coloured bumpers, rear parking sensors and heated front seats. DL40 adds practical convenience with Bi-LED headlights, a 7” touchscreen, keyless entry, reversing camera, and dual-zone climate control.

Topping of the Adventure range, V-Cross generates a powerful impression with ‘gun metal’ styling, Bi-LED headlights and 18” alloy wheels. Inside, the V-Cross is fitted with a premium leather upholstery, 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control and a 9” touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

William Brown, Managing Director at Isuzu UK, commented: “Winning two awards from two completely different publications is a signal of the wide-ranging appeal of the All-New Isuzu D-Max.  Business Vans and 4×4 Magazine appraise pick-ups for different qualities, so being a clear winner on both fronts speaks volumes about our new pick-up”.

All models come with a 125,000 mile / 5 Year warranty and 5 years UK and European roadside assistance. Power is derived from an efficient, Euro 6D compliant diesel engine, which produces up to 164PS and 360Nm of torque, which comfortably tows up to 3.5t and can carry over one tonne payload.
