HUNT FOREST GROUP HIKE
Tenacious crew of hikers from Hunt Forest Group tackle 26-mile hike for Macmillan Cancer Support
Starting in Weymouth, the team of fifteen hikers traversed thirteen miles across the Jurassic Coast towards their midpoint of Lulworth Cove, before returning to Weymouth to complete the arduous 26 miles. To prepare for the walk, the team engaged in monthly practice walks between February and September, with the hike also being supported by volunteers using Isuzu D-Max pick-ups to meet the hikers at various checkpoints along the journey with supplies, providing sustenance and rehydration.
Commenting on the journey, HR Manager at Hunt Forest Group, Chloe Fear, said: "Having completed the Macmillan Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike challenge 4 years ago, it was something I wanted to do again as Macmillan enhances the lives of so many people living with cancer but needs as much funding as possible to do so. We raised over £15,000 in total for Macmillan and were blown away by the generosity of our customers and partners alike who sponsored us – particularly Isuzu who really got behind the team and made a very generous contribution.”
